The 1990's had brought something new and fabulous for Denise to try - the baddie! She had been played Snow White fifteen times - Although she loved paying the part it was time to to have a role more age appropriate. She was, and to some extent, still is, apprehensive about playing the baddie. Denise acknowledges that the crowd are going to boo and hiss. Though this was something that Denise was never fully prepared for. She enjoys being applauded. For an entertainer to be booed as soon as they walk onstage is difficult. The reward comes at the end of the performance when people relaise that the baddie has turned good. Her applause is more often than not, a spontaneous roar. Everyone loves a baddie after all, and Denise has become one of the baddest there is. In between these roles Denise has enjoyed playing Fairy Godmother too, which is a sweet role to play. The chance to wear a lovely gown is something that Denise also thoroughly enjoys. Transistion is a key to an enduring place in the world of Panto. Her first Panto of the 2000s was another young part - that of Jack in Jack and the Beanstalk. As the decade goes on you will see her roles evolving. We have endeavoured to capture the main poster/flyer for you to look at, as well as additional show pictures where possible.
